As per the communication sent to all volunteers via email at 10.30 on June 29th, the following gathered in Salerno at the association headquarters:
– Gaetano Loffredo – Francesca Loffredo – Josephine Trasi – Sara Vitiello – Francesco Caliendo – Francesco Trasi – Giorgio Ascione – Andrea Landi – Helena Da Rocha – Diallo Shata – Flavio Zannone – Laura Andrea Schio – Rubin Federico – Noemi Solarino – two friends of Andrea Landi Alessandro and his wife Roberta were also present and interested in listening.
Notari Diana – Fassitelli Carlotta – Zizzo Sophie – Anna Sirica – despite having given their availability due to justified setbacks, were unable to participate in the volunteers' meeting which had the aim of identifying and discussing projects developed for the children of the nursery schools.
As always, the meeting opened with a greeting from President Giovanni and followed by some clarifications from Franco on the matter:
– ask the volunteers present for a probable date for the volunteers' trip, which was then established by majority vote for the first fortnight of October.
– request the names of people who would like to participate in the next trip.
(this possible availability will be requested from all volunteers who have signed the questionnaire, have regularized the payment foreseen for the current year and have a valid passport).
PLEASE NOTE THAT availability must be communicated no later than the end of July 2019 by email to the secretariat address.
– report on the work done so far by Marco di Bello for the site and other things, inviting everyone to send him written or photographic material of interest for publication; in particular, Josehpine is invited to maintain appropriate contact with Marco where necessary.
At the end of these brief notes, the volunteers presented the works of their projects, all very interesting, motivating their interest in the various PDFs shown on video, complete with explanations and costs.
After the presentation of the individual projects, the members of the groups who worked on them are thanked (all the news and material will be on the site in the next few days and we invite you to consult it).
In the meantime, all the projects are approved as they share the aims and primary objectives of the association, that is, to bring the village closer to the kindergarten.
Projects such as:
the games project – the moringa project – the student booklet project – the report project – will be better defined by completing them with suggestions and small changes to facilitate and thus allow their execution by the volunteers who will take turns in the visits to Zanzibar.
This last phase was developed after a lunch break enjoyed by all participants and the meeting concluded at 5 pm.
More detailed news accompanied by photos and slides will be visible on the site and this communication will be sent to all volunteer members via email.
