We have returned to Jambiani with two new volunteers, Arianna and Antonio, who are eager to gain new experiences and assess the impact of our efforts in the villages in the southern part of the island.
The children, teachers, and village representatives are expecting us, and as usual, we will meet them accompanied by our trusted representative, who brings many updates.
The greatest surprise is that our commitment to promoting education, symbolized by the kindergarten we have established over the years, is truly bearing fruit. Mothers no longer feel fear or hesitation in sending or bringing their children to the kindergarten. However, with this exponential growth in numbers—now exceeding 1,300—the existing classrooms can no longer accommodate everyone.
Perhaps even the Ministry of Education has recognized the situation and is working on authorizing and funding the expansion of several school sites in some villages. This has been confirmed in the village of Unguja Ukuu and the villages of Uzi.
Even in these cases, we were asked to contribute, and we did not hesitate. The photos of Unguja and Uzi show the progress of the work.
