Dear Friends,
the day has arrived, our anxiety begins to see if the results hoped for from this meeting and from the declared aims, and therefore from your participation, have proven to be exact.
It was a success we hadn't hoped for.
Over 90 people showed up at the LA PIANA hotel, greeted by our smile and the welcome offered by the owner and friend Bartolomeo.
Seeing friends present and coming from all the provinces of Campania, from Lazio, from Palermo, Cagliari, Milan, Padua and Vicenza left us speechless.
At 1.30pm, after the welcome, everyone to Grassano.
A beautiful park between the greenery and the river, welcomed in the restaurant of our friend Pompilio and his sons with a first-rate organization, followed by an excellent service and uncommon dishes, and here it is right to thank everyone, from the Chef to the members of the service.
A walk along the riverbank and in the greenery, a few canoe trips, filled everyone's time and then we found ourselves in the BENEDICTINE ABBEY.
At 5:30 pm the start in a beautiful room, 90 percent full, there were alternating greetings from Peppe, President Giovanni, Vice-President Diana who introduced the members of the board and, with significant words, briefly illustrated the various steps and themes of the meeting, also with the help of various slides, the paths of our association in the past 15 years.
A commemorative plaque of the event to the Mayor, unfortunately unable to attend due to unforeseen electoral commitments, and a beautiful painting with a dedication offered to friends Franco and Peppe for their "active militancy" and with the intervention of various people present the meeting concluded.
A meeting that was, in many ways, proactive and all or almost all, with the intervention of the guide, then followed the complete visit of the abbey and then went back to Grassano for the planned dinner served with a continuous offer of cold and hot dishes, all accompanied by music and songs offered and performed with skill by some friends of the member Gianpiero.
At midnight everyone goes home, or returns to the hotel for departure the following day.
Thanks to all those who attended and also to all those who, we guarantee there were many, were unable to attend at the last minute.
