Fundraising for the Sogeani Kindergarten
A fundraising campaign has been launched for the Sogeani kindergarten to build a well. During the inspection carried out in February 2021, the kindergarten was found to have a shortage of water. The fundraising initiative remains open.

Maintenance at the Kikadini Kindergarten
The inspection at the Kikadini kindergarten, carried out in February 2021 and detailed in our latest newsletter, highlighted the need for a full repainting of the building and classrooms.

Medical Visits – "Elena Project" Resumes – Mobile Clinic Camp
Thanks to the valuable collaboration of Juma, agreements have been reached with Dr. Naufal of ZOP, allowing the "Elena Project" to resume medical visits in several villages in Zanzibar through the intervention of the Mobile Clinic Camp!
The scheduled medical visits under the "Elena Project" will commence on June 19 at the kindergarten in the village of Sogeani.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances (due to COVID), the medical visits will continue in August at the kindergarten in the village of Kibidija and in September at the kindergarten in the village of Jumbi.
Maintenance at the Jumbi Kindergarten
The painting work for the classrooms and roofs at the Jumbi kindergarten has been successfully completed, as planned following the last inspection in February 2021 and documented in our latest newsletter.
"Elena Project" – Mobile Clinic Camp – Village of Sogeani
June 2021, with our presence, the new "Mobile Camp" took place in the village where the Sogeani kindergarten is located.
There was strong participation from the villagers, with over 500 people attending, and an excellent organization by the medical staff, nurses, and various professionals from ZOP—more than 40 in total, operating from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Water for the Sogeani Kindergarten – New Well
A new well has been successfully completed, with water found at a depth of approximately 35 meters. Thanks to the efforts of Anna and Roberta, whose fundraising contributions played a vital role in making this project a reality.

Social Project
During the most recent trip to Zanzibar, the "Social Project" was initiated. Based on recommendations from teachers, this initiative aims to provide solar panels and light bulbs to families facing greater difficulties.
In many remote villages, electricity is unavailable, and families still rely on candles or combustion lanterns, which pose health risks due to smoke exposure. The only way to bring electric light to these communities is through photovoltaic panels
During the next trip in August, we will further explore this project, thanks to Juma and the teachers, who, through their dedication and engagement, serve as a vital link between the association and the families of children in the kindergartens.
Sogeani Kindergarten Well Project
Here is a short video of the well completed at the Sogeani kindergarten. Water was found at a depth of 35 meters, and a pump was installed so that the school can access the necessary water without having to reach the well located in the village.
