Projects: Year 2018

Some significant news awaited us:

  • a new nursery school to be inaugurated;
  • first aid course held by some Italian doctors who work in their clinic located in a village about 30 minutes away by car and who work for the local population;
  • of the premises for which we have made an agreement, obtaining the availability of three accommodations for future volunteers.

The numbers that demonstrate the remarkable effectiveness of our association in Africa in these ten years:

  • we maintain as many as 11 kindergartens;
  • there are approximately 1200 children;
  • the teachers we are committed to contributing are 46;
  • the volunteers who have accompanied us on the trips made over the last two years are around 30;

Unimaginable numbers at least for our possibilities obtained thanks to your contributions and above all to your accreditation to the 5 per 1000 association

Juma The Little Houses: the volunteers finally have permanent accommodation! The rooms at Le Casette are finally ready, a small hotel and restaurant complex coordinated by Juma, our contact on site. From now on, the volunteers will have the opportunity to stay in this beautiful space and not only that, the structure is open all year round to tourists too. Part of the annual proceeds will go to our association, therefore to the nurseries and to our beautiful children.

The chicken coop: once again, the honor of being able to measure the perimeters of a space full of shrubs and imagine a chicken coop, was a thrilling emotion. Time, in Zanzibar, passes slowly, but imagination and creativity surpass every chronometer. After a few months, the structure I had imagined is there, ready to welcome chickens and their eggs, whose proceeds will be donated entirely to our association.

Kindergartens: Starting in a small group gave me the opportunity to not only be in contact with my emotions and desire to do, but to know the technical, organizational, analysis aspects of the needs and requirements of the place. The planned maintenance works have been carried out almost in their entirety, and a new cycle of needs arises on the horizon of each nursery. Ceilings, leaky false ceilings, water tanks, windows: problems that will be solved in the shortest possible time thanks to the contribution of members and donors.

The October 2018 report mainly reports the demonstration with the participation of the authorities and the village of the new asylum in Uzi.
