April 1st a group of various members and supporters leaves for a trip first to the port of Zanzibar then to Mwanza and then return to Italy. The objectives are to visit all the nurseries to check with more careful eyes what has been done, what is still necessary, and to welcome any requests that will certainly come from the heads of various villages and that will have to be examined. We bring the children leather balls, sweets and biscuits as gifts, very little, in exchange for what they will give us, but the love that we bring them is a pure, sincere, great, disinterested feeling, it is the most precious feeling of giving without receiving
All the kindergartens are visited receiving great expressions of benevolence from the villages and the teachers, the children then stole the scene wherever we went giving us smiles and so much affection that was contagious to everyone, as demonstrated by the many photos taken. After this bath of smiles, of happy children, of the affectionate welcomes of the teachers and the villages, the journey to Tanzania awaits us, headed to Mwanza, more precisely to the village of Lukobe.
We arrive after a day of travel due to the many long stops at the airport. Tomorrow will be an important day in fact, the inauguration of the complex "Casa di accoglienza di Grazia" awaits us, a new work dedicated to Grazia, affectionate mother of Emilia and Errico, beloved wife of Giampiero and dear friend in these last twenty years of many of us, whose smile and her sweetness will be difficult to forget.
The visit to the facilities and the beauty of the greenery that surrounds us leaves everyone literally speechless and does justice to the great commitment made by our association in favor of abandoned children. To make the center operational, there will still be a need to carry out some work, especially to be able to have the water supply, for the moment we are happy and enjoying these obvious results.
We return to Mwanza at the end of September to try to solicit the last interventions and above all to tackle a self-sustaining project with the head of the Hisani association with the construction of a small farm.
