Elena D'Amanzo Project – 1st Mobile Clinic Camp

Jan 18, 2020

“Today we finally got to see the construction of a mobile camp. We left in the morning for Uzi, where, upon our arrival, we found all the doctors already operating and many people already there since the morning in line. They had the opportunity to have their eyes, ears, teeth and breast cancer prevention checked.

Everything was spread out in the various classrooms of the school, and at the same time the children of the nursery were visited to verify the need for an inear surgery.

We were pleasantly surprised by the enormous participation of the village. When we left, there were 600 registrations for access to medical visits. Today we have seen the professionalism with which ZOP has kept the commitment made to us. During the break, around 12:00, we were invited to the inauguration of a building used as an emergency infirmary and hydraulic works built to bring water to the village, built by a German NGO, in collaboration with ZOP.

The journey thus concludes, which is essential to ensure that the money is well spent and that the villages have welcomed this project positively.

Now the main goal of Drops of Love, to bring the village into the asylum, is slowly starting to take shape!

We thank ZOP, the doctors, GOZA ONG and above all the villagers.

A special thanks to Juma who is always fundamental in the realization of all this”
