After the break due to Covid, the “Elena Project” continues, which was held on June 19 with our presence. The new “Mobile Camp” took place in the village where the Sogeani nursery school is located. Here too we found a great participation of the people of the village (over 500) and an excellent organization of the staff of doctors, nurses of the ZOP association (over 40) operating from 8.30 to 16. It is always a pleasure to see how the nurseries have become the center of the village, useful not only to the hosted children, but to the entire village. The primary objective of Gocce d’Amore was to bring the nursery school to the village. Having brought 12 nurseries to the villages of Zanzibar we can say that this objective has been achieved. Now the new aim is to bring the villages to the nurseries and we are obtaining wonderful results thanks to the “Elena Project”!
The Mobile Camps will follow:
- – August 14th in the KIBIGIJA kindergarten
- – September 11th at the UNGUJA UKUU kindergarten
- – October 30th at the KIBUTENI kindergarten
In 2022 the dates for the remaining villages will be agreed upon
